In its most exclusive offering yet, Air France has recently partnered with Wijet to launch a new private jet service. Operated by a Cessna Citation Mustang aircraft, the private jet can be hired for transport between Paris’s Charles de Gualle airport and 1,200 other airports in France and Europe, provided they are within two and a half hours of Paris. The service is offered to La Premiere passengers, flying with the airline’s first-class service that offers access to its exclusive airport lounges worldwide and personalized assistance throughout travels. Convenience is key with the new service: guests can choose the jet’s departure time, connections to or from the jet are optimized by limousine transfer between flights, eliminated check-ins make for immediate boarding, guests collect their bags directly from the aircraft upon landing. The in-flight accommodations are leisurely as well, with a private cabin appointed with four large leather club seats, personal storage and folding shelves, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, French pastries and lunch boxes, daily newspapers and magazines, and tablets. And, at an hourly rate of US$3,235 for use of the aircraft, the service also boasts being 40 percent cheaper than other private jet services on the market.
