AirAsia X has announced its third route to Japan to the city of Nagoya direct from it’s Kuala Lumpur hub. The new route is scheduled to begin March 17, 2014 and follows connections by the airline to Tokyo and Osaka. AirAsia X will service four weekly flights to Chubu Centrair International Airport with an Airbus A330-300 carrying up to 337 passengers. The aircraft will include Economy and Premium classes, with flatbed seats in Premium. Promotional deals are currently available on the flight starting from US$62 one way for Economy and from US$220 for Premium. The special rates are available for booking from November 19-20, 2013 for the travel period of March 17 to August 5, 2014. Said Azran Osman-Rani, CEO of AirAsia X, “This marks another milestone for AirAsia X and reiterates our expansion commitment in the key markets we operate in with the Asia Pacific Region. We have carried over half a million passengers to and from Japan. Japan contributed over 14% of our total revenue in the first half of 2013.”
