In Jakarta AirAsia Routes All Flights to Terminal 3

AirAsia Indonesia, the local associate carrier of Malaysian budget airline AirAsia, unveiled its new base for international flights at Terminal 3 of the Soekarno Hatta International Airport in Jakarta on Nov. 15.

Already housing the carrier’s domestic operations, the terminal will officially open for its  international flights on Nov. 17. The consolidation will enable guests to transfer between AirAsia’s domestic and international flights with minimum hassle.

Opened in 2009, Terminal 3 offers a more modern design than the older terminals and utilizes natural light, significantly reducing electricity costs. Amenities include complimentary wi-fi and filtered-water drinking fountains.

AirAsia also provides four self-check-in kiosks for domestic passengers and will offer five for international passengers. The kiosks can be used to check in one to 24 hours prior to departure time.
