All Nippon Airways to Expand Premium Economy

All Nippon Airways has announced it will roll out its Premium Economy seating on six new long-haul flights from Narita Airport starting with New York from August.

At 42 inches, the pitch of the new seat is 10 percent wider than regular economy while the 19.3-inch-wide seats are spread across the cabin in a 2-4-2 configuration, versus the 3-3-3 in regular economy. Other features include a 10.6 inch monitor, USB and iPod connectivity, as well as a socket for charging laptops or tablet devices.

ANA Premium Economy passengers will have lounge access as well as priority boarding and baggage handling.

Premium Economy will be available on flights to London on September 14 and Frankfurt on September 30. On October 1, the seats will be on the carrier’s San Francisco route followed by flights to Los Angeles from October 11 and to Paris from October 21.
