Cathay Pacific has announced that it will make its premium economy option available on regional flights starting on October 27, with bookings opening on October 2. Premium economy will now be available on flights to and from Bangkok, Beijing, Cebu, Colombo, Denpasar/Bali, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Nagoya, Osaka, Penang, Sapporo, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Surabaya, Taipei and Tokyo (Narita and Haneda), as well as flights linked to a second destination such as Bangkok to Delhi and Taipei to Fukuoka.

“Our Premium Economy Class has been very well received by our long-haul passengers, with many telling us that it is a genuine upgrade in the travel experience as well as being good value for money,” said Cathay Pacific General Manager Revenue Management James Tong.

The premium-economy section has 26 to 34 seats depending on the aircraft and the new regional service is subject to aircraft and seat availability. Premium-economy passengers enjoy an increased 25-kilogram baggage allowance, special service counters, priority boarding, and 110 percent Asia Miles accrual. Onboard, passengers will find 15 more centimeters in the seat pitch, compared to standard economy seats; a large meal table and a cocktail table; power outlets and a multiport connector for personal devices; and extra personal storage space.
