Etihad Airways has commenced daily nonstop service between its Abu Dhabi hub and Rome Fiumicino Airport. The airline’s codeshare with Italian national carrier Alitalia will also provide patrons with a wide selection of Italian domestic and European cities for their continuing flights including Milan, Bucharest, Sofia, Vienna, Venice, Madrid, Malaga, Budapest, Malta, and Barcelona. The flight will be serviced using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft in a two-class configuration featuring 22 fully-flat beds in business class and 240 seats in economy class. Flight EY083 departs Abu Dhabi at 2:40 a.m. daily, arriving in Rome at 7:10 a.m. The return flight, EY084, departs Rome at 12:00 p.m. and arrives in Abu Dhabi at 7:55 p.m. The flight marks the second gateway by Etihad into Italy after Milan.
