Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will increase service from its Abu Dhabi hub to Dublin, Ireland to daily double service up from 10 flights per week. The frequency change, effective from July 15, will create an additional 8,988 seats each week between the two capital cities. A Boeing 777-300 ER will service the route with a capacity of 380 passengers with 40 in Pearl Business Class and 340 in Coral Economy Class. Additionally, an Airbus A330-200 will also be used on the route with a capacity of 262 seats. Since launching the destination in 2007, Etihad has flown nearly 1.2 million passengers on the route, which is regularly one of the airline’s most popular flights. 2013 was the busiest year of service to date with more than 240,000 passengers flying the route. Flights will depart daily from Abu Dhabi from 2:25 a.m. and 9:15 a.m., with return flights from Dublin departing from 9:20 a.m. and 8:55 p.m.
