After a long flight the last thing jet-setters want to do is face daunting immigration queues. Garuda Indonesia has led the charge for expedited immigration by offering passengers service up in the air, and they’ve recently added an addition to their efficient amenity. Customers simply purchase visa-on-arrival vouchers from check-in counters at their departure location, and while aboard the aircraft immigration officers will conduct passport checks at individual seats. Garuda currently offers the service on six flights including Seoul, Sydney, and Tokyo to Jakarta as well as Osaka, Sydney, and Tokyo to Bali.  The airline’s Shanghai to Jakarta route is newly minted as the latest location to offer the innovative service meaning less time in a queue and more time enjoying your trip.
