Air New Zealand is breaking all the rules with a mid-air tee-off.
The ‘30,000ft In-flight Putting Challenge’ commemorates the airline’s sponsorship of the upcoming New Zealand PGA Pro-Am Championship, to be held from March 29 to April 1 at The Hills golf course near Queenstown. The airline is giving passengers on its All Blacks A320 aircraft (painted black in honor of its sponsorship of New Zealand rugby) on flights between Auckland and Queenstown the opportunity to take part in this rather unusual in-flight entertainment.
Until March 26, four passengers on each flight will be invited for some high-altitude putting down the aisle. The winner gets a prize pack with a VIP trip for two to watch the final day of the championship.
