Passengers across all classes of Etihad Airways can enjoy new amenity kits with a social interest angle on longhaul flights to and from Abu Dhabi. The kits, designed in partnership with Sougha, an initiative by Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, works to preserve Emirati culture through the showcasing of local artists. The colorful, woven patterns of the bags feature sadou designs, an ancient Abu Dhabi weaving craft used in blankets, tapestries, and Bedouin tents. Diamond First Class kits include exclusive products by luxury brand Le Labo while business class will include all natural products by Athens’ Korres brand. Sougha in Arabic translates to a traveler’s gift, so whether the destination is Abu Dhabi or otherwise Etihad passengers can bring a token of Emirati culture home with them.
