Last year, EasyJet became Europe’s second-largest low-cost carrier by revenue. This year, it plans to be number one in term of seat comfort. By the end of August, the British airline will have introduced new lightweight seats onboard its 14 new aircraft. With a slim backrest angled at 15 degrees, the new seat provides passengers with more space and a more relaxed sitting position. Manufactured by Recaro, a German company that designed the seats for Audi RS4 cars, the ergonomic SL3510 seat will also improve fuel efficiency and reduce C02 emissions due to its light weight.
