Qatar Airways is now operating a business-class only jet between Doha International and London Heathrow airports, making it the first airline company to do so on this route. The Airbus A319 aircraft that services the flight seven times weekly (upping the carrier’s weekly flights of this route from 35 to 42) is aptly titled Business One and is a response to the popularity of this route among business-class travelers. Inside the premium jets, 40 wide seats are spaciously placed in a 2-2 arrangement on either side of a single aisle, and they recline into full flat beds, each with its own Oryx entertainment system. SMS mobile texting, GSM, and GPRS are also usable in-flight, keeping travelers in touch while airborne. Passengers also have access to the carrier’s Premium Terminal in Doha and Premium Lounge in Heathrow, each equipped with fine dining restaurants, upscale bars, lounges, and private shower facilities.
