Qatar Airways Offers Yoga in the Clouds

If you thought squeezing yourself into an Economy Class seat when flying was challenge enough, wait until you try Qatar Airways’ (qatarairways.com) onboard yoga program. Developed in collaboration with Indian-American wellness guru Deepak Chopra, the airlines’ new Fly Healthy, Fly Fit guide offers long-haul passengers advice and tips on how to perform yoga and meditation techniques while seated—belt firmly fastened, of course. There’s no  “downward facing dog” or “sun salutation,” but rather, a series of simple, easy postures outlined in step-by-step illustrations. With the incidence of air rage on the rise, anything that helps passengers chill out sounds good to us.
