Qatar Airways has unveiled a new Business Class cabin for their fleet of Airbus A330-200 and A320 planes. The cabin will now feature fully flat seats equipped with a power outlet, USB port, and additional storage space. A Panasonic eX2 IFE entertainment system with a 15.4-inch television and touch screen controller will be available as well. Passengers can even send and receive short messages with their seat technology. Economy class will also be refreshed with a roomier design and a 10.6-inch monitor for each seat. Seven A330-200s and nine A320s have already been updated, with the rest expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2014.
While Qatar Airways’ has not yet deployed their first A380-800, consumers can catch a sneak peak of the airline’s First Class seats that will be part of the aircraft’s three-class configuration. The spacious new seat features a 90-inch seat pitch that transforms into a fully flat bed. Adjustable privacy screens give passengers the choice to chat with neighbors or tuck away for uninterrupted sleep. A wide array of entertainment options can be viewed on 19-inch television screens in the comfort of oversize armrests and sleek interiors.
