SilkAir, the regional carrier of Singapore Airlines, has announced thrice-weekly service to Kalibo in the Philippines beginning May 27, 2014 and Mandalay in Myanmar beginning June 10, 2014. The Kalibo flight will operate in a circular flight from Singapore, to Cebu, to Kalibo, which offers access to the popular holiday destination of Boracay island. The Mandalay flight will also operate in a circular pattern embarking from Singapore with service through Mandalay. Airbus A319 and A320 aircrafts will service the routes featuring both Business and Economy Class cabins. The Kalibo service will be SilkAir’s third destination in the Philippines after Cebu and Davao, and Mandalay is the airline’s second Myanmar destination after Yangon. SilkAir has also announced an increase in service to Phuket, Thailand up to 35 times weekly from 30, five times weekly service to Darwin, Australia up from four, and increases in flights in Indonesia to Palembang and Balikpapan.
