Passengers traveling with Singapore Airlines between Beijing and Singapore can now do so in an Airbus A380, which the carrier recently began deploying between the cities. With the super-jumbo’s 471-person capacity, the daily service supersedes two flights formerly operated by smaller Boeing 777s, reducing the total number of SQ flights on the route from four to three. Beijing marks the second Chinese city (after Shanghai) serviced by the carrier’s A380s, which have garnered praise for their private first-class suites and the largest flat-screens in the sky.
