Singapore Airlines will increase the baggage allowance for all SIA and SilkAir flights beginning November 15, 2013. Passengers will enjoy an additional 10kg of baggage across all classes of travel. Suites and First Class will be entitled to free baggage allowances of up to 50kg, Business Class will have up to 40kg, and Economy class will have up to 30kg. For customers traveling to and from the United States in Suites, First Class, and Business Class, an allowance of two pieces of luggage of up to 32kg each will now apply, up from 23kg per piece previously. KrisFlyer Elite Gold and Star Alliance Gold members still can carry an additional 20kg of baggage across all classes, or an extra piece of checked-in baggage when traveling to or from the United States and Brazil. “Increasing baggage allowances across all classes of travel is in response to feedback from our customers and reaffirms our commitment to constantly enhancing customer service,” said SIA Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, Mr Chin Yau Seng.
