AirAsia today launched a new direct service connecting Penang and Yangon with flights scheduled to operate three times week. Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, the carrier will be flying out of Penang at 12:00 p.m. and arrive in Yangon at 12:45, while return service will depart Yangon at 1:00 p.m. and land back in Penang at 5.00 p.m. The route will be serviced using an all-economy Airbus A320.
With Yangon on its roster, AirAsia now flies to seven international destinations from Penang, including Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, and Ho Chi Minh City, giving travelers from Yangon more options in reaching these cities and the carrier’s expansive network within the region.
