ANA Dishes Up Akita Classics

As part of its ongoing Tastes of Japan campaign, All Nippon Airways has updated the business-class menu on its flights to Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur. Passengers will now get to savor local cuisine from Akita prefecture in northern Honshu—known for its hinai-jidori chicken and mashed rice skewers in hotpot—until the end of November. The menu also uses local produce in Western cooking, with roasted Akita-grown figs that serve as a topping for grilled beef steak, while fig vinegar and liquor add a Japanese touch to the sauce.
