Come February 15, 2017, All Nippon Airways (ANA) will be flying directly between Tokyo’s Narita International Airport and Mexico City, earning its place as the first airline to serve daily nonstop flights between Japan and Mexico. Flown with the Boeing Dreamliner 787-8, the route will mark ANA’s 42nd international destination and become the airline’s longest flight. The carrier added the route “to better serve the growing business and leisure demand” between the two countries, especially since economic ties have significantly deepened over the past few years. The service will depart Tokyo at 4:40 p.m. with a scheduled arrival time of 1:55 p.m. in Mexico City. Return flights will then leave the Mexican capital at 1:00 a.m. and land back at Narita International Airport at 6:35 a.m. the following day.
