Delta Air Lines will connect Los Angeles and Beijing with a non-stop service later this year. Scheduled to launch in December, the carrier has designated its Boeing 777-200ER aircraft for the route, which is equipped with 37 Delta One (business class) seats, 36 Delta Comfort+, and 218 regular economy seats. The flight is scheduled to take off from Los Angeles at 12:30 p.m. and arrive in Beijing at 17:45 p.m. the next day, while a return service will leave Beijing at 19:30 p.m. and land back in Los Angeles at 15:45 p.m. Passengers flying eastbound will find themselves on a flight lasting 13 hours and 15 minutes, while the westbound flight time will be earlier by an hour at 12 hours and 15 minutes.

When launched, the route will be Delta’s fifth daily non-stop flight connecting Los Angeles with destinations in the Asia-Pacific region, and the only airline to connect the U.S. city with both Beijing and Shanghai.
