Swiss International Air Lines is upping its in-flight food service for first-class passengers with the launch of its new Swiss Connoisseur Experience program. For four times every year, the carrier will be serving dishes that are tailored to highlight seasonal delights for a period of two weeks, offering flyers aboard its finest cabin a unique dining experience. The first Connoisseur Experience commenced on September 2, featuring the Swiss Steakhouse menu that offers a range of classic steakhouse selections, such as Caesar salad with croutons for starters and an option of Australian wagyu beef or Irish angus fillet as a main course. Following the same concept, the airline will be offering truffles in November, where cabin staff will be grating the aromatic mushroom for customers at their seats, while in February, passengers can look forward to a lineup of seafood specialties. The airline has also scheduled two weeks of in-flight caviar tastings for May next year. The program will be available in all long-haul flights from Switzerland.
