Qatar Airways will deploy its first Airbus A380 plane on its Doha-London route from June 17. The flight will originate from Doha’s soon-to-open Hamad International Airport and land in London Heathrow Airport. Hamad has been specially designed for the aircraft with six gates catering to the jumbo aircraft. The plane will feature a three-class configuration of first, business, and economy over two levels. The new A380 first-class seats feature a 90-inch pitch that transform into a fully-flat bed and 26-inch television screens. The plane will mark the first of the airline’s 13 A380 planes on order.Â CEO of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker said, â€śOperating on the Doha to London Heathrow route, these aircraft, with their customized cabins, will set a new level of comfort for our passengers.”
