Luxury air travelers, take note: Qatar Airways has launched an all first class service from Doha to Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The first flight coincided with the start of Ramadan, as the airline’s chief executive Akbar Al Baker noted, “The demand for premium group travel continues to grow, especially during the Ramadan season.” The route is serviced by an Airbus A319 with a 2-2 configuration of 40 seats, each of which reclines into a lie-flat bed and has a private Oryx One entertainment system. Passengers also have access the Al Mourjan Business Lounge in Hamad International Airport. The flight departs Doha at 9 a.m. and arrives in Jeddah at 11:20 a.m.; return flights depart Jeddah at 12:20 p.m. and arrive in Doha at 2:40 p.m.
