SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, today expanded its network with the launch of its inaugural flight to Malé, Maldives. The new route is set to operate four times a week—flying out of Singapore every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10:05 a.m. and arriving in Malé at 11:40 a.m. Returning flights will leave Malé at 12:55 p.m. on the same day and arrive in Singapore at 08:45 p.m. The airline has assigned an Airbus A320 aircraft to service the route, featuring both business and economy class cabins.
“As the popularity of Maldives grows among Asian travelers, we are glad to be joining our parent company, Singapore Airlines, in operating flights on this route,” SilkAir chief executive Leslie Thng said. “Together, we will provide double daily services to and from Male throughout the year, giving more options for travelers wanting to visit this beautiful destination.”
