In an upgrade to its in-flight food menu, Singapore Airlines has recently launched what it calls the “Deliciously  Wholesome” meals, new dining options designed with health-conscious travelers in mind. Offering nutritious gourmet dishes, the menu includes free-range marinated chicken on a spring salad bouquet, citrus steamed sea bass with lettuce purée, and sous-vide miso-simmered beef with nimono vegetables, among others. The airline consulted nutrient expert Mayura Mohta for the new dishes, who says each meal is guaranteed to be rich in complex carbohydrates, lean protein, good fats, fiber, and healing phytonutrients that will nourish one’s body, especially in long-haul flights.

“Our customers are increasingly health-conscious and we are pleased to offer greater choice and variety to enhance their dining experience when they travel with us,” says Marvin Tan, senior vice president of products and services.

Fliers can find the new menu on select flights flying out of Singapore this month and premium passengers on Singapore Airlines’ Suites, First Class, and Business Class will be able to pre-order some dishes through the carrier’s “Book the Cook” service.
