Thai Smile, the regional airline and wholly owned subsidiary of Thai Airways International, is scheduled to launch its brand new Bangkok Suvarnabhumi – Luang Prabang route in early 2017, taking over yet another one of its parent carrier’s services. Using the Airbus A320 aircraft, the route will be operated four times a week starting from January 16, 2017.
Steeped in history, the UNESCO-listed Lao town of Luang Prabang beckons with Indochinese villas, rich culinary offerings, and plenty of old-world charm. Travelers can delve into a wide range of cultural and outdoor activities, from temple visits to mountain bike trails. Fortunately, visiting this corner of the world has never been easier, as SilkAir has also recently added the fascinating town to its list of destinations.
