Virgin America has revealed a delectable new First Class menu, replete with three gourmet ice cream flavors. Along with Virgin America’s signature cocktail service, First Class patrons can look forward to hors d’oeuvres of roasted tomato, marinated artichoke heart, and olive and mozzarella skewers with a choice of two appetizers and three entrées. San Francisco-based creamery, Humphry Slocombe, lent its talents for three new Virgin America-inspired flavors including Butter By Moodlight, Red Hot Banana, and Coconut Blond Ambition, all with nods to Virgin America’s high-flying culture. The three choices will be part of a taste competition crowning the airline’s signature flavor that guests can vote via Twitter. Highlights from the new menu include chicken breast with apple fig compote, soba noodles with lemongrass shiitake broth, and faro risotto with spring succotash. All long-haul business flights between San Francisco and Los Angeles to Newark, New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C. will feature the new menu as of March 4, 2014.
