The growing trend of immersive cruise travel, marked by high-tech entertainment concepts and unusual dining experiences, is primed to flourish beyond this year.

One of Asia’s biggest cruise players, Genting Cruise Line, looks set to ride the wave with its newest ship, World Dream.

Genting Cruise Line is a division of Genting Hong Kong, which  comprises three cruise lines, namely Crystal Cruises, Dream Cruises, and Star Cruises.

Following the launch of Genting Dream last November, this latest addition to its fleet will double the capacity for Dream Cruises, Asia’s luxury cruise line, in the region.

Current itineraries cover destinations including Guangzhou, Boracay, Hong Kong, and more.

Here are some exciting highlights for the new luxury liner:

1. Room for more

Apart from the high levels of service and spacious comfort that Dream Cruises has become known for, over 70 percent of staterooms in World Dream will feature private balconies and a selection of connecting rooms catering to extended families and groups.

2. Butler service

Those staying in the Dream Palace Suite can experience dedicated European butler concierge service, where needs will be catered to every comfort. Well-trained butlers will press garments, shine shoes, and arrange priority spa, dining, and excursion reservations. That’s not all, they’ll also serve afternoon tea, dinner, or cocktails in your suite, and deliver room service from selected restaurants on board.

3. Fine dining for all

Whether you prefer Asian cuisine or international eats, the variety of dining options will be right up your alley. There’re fine cuts at Prime Steakhouse, traditional Japanese dishes with a modern twist at Umi Uma, fresh seafood at Seafood Grill, and more.

4. Pampering spa

For a much-needed dose of pampering, make a beeline for the Crystal Life Spa. As the most comprehensive Beauty and Wellness center at sea, the 4,000 sqm space encompasses three concepts: Western Spa, Asian Spa, and Medical Spa.

5. High-octane entertainment

Fill your cruise schedule with enriching experiences that range from wine tasting to yoga, then party the night away at Zouk. The outdoor beach club features cabana seating, pool, and giant LED screens which will host not only clubbing events but also movie nights. Finally, take the whole family to the 999-seat Zodiac Theatre for captivating musicals and live shows.
