1. The Float @ Marina Bay

For an exclusive front-row view of the hourly firework displays on New Year’s Eve, head to The Float @ Marina Bay. From 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. on December 31, a picnic and bazaar area will be set up for merrymakers to countdown with their family and friends.

2. Prudential Marina Bay Carnival

Soak up the festivities at the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival, also Singapore’s biggest carnival yet. On New Year’s Eve, rides and games will be open until 2 a.m. for thrill-seekers. For stellar views of the fireworks and the city skyline, go for a ride on the 35-meter-tall Star Flyer.

3. Esplanade Roof Terrace

Located right by the bay area, performing arts center Esplanade is one of the best places to catch the fireworks. Instead of standing by the bayfront, consider heading up to the rooftop garden for an alternative view of the stunning aerial displays. If you’re in the mood for a tipple, Orgo Bar & Restaurant is just a stone’s throw away.

4. Marina Barrage

Don’t fancy splurging on tickets? Head to Marina Barrage for your own picnic with a view. The dam, built at the confluence of five rivers, is also an ideal spot from which to admire the city skyline. Here, one can relax on the expansive lawn and wait as the fireworks light up the sky at midnight.

5. The Pinnacle@Duxton

For a small fee, the public can enjoy access to the sky garden of The Pinnacle@Duxton. Located 50 stories above ground, the garden is situated atop the tallest public housing in the area, offering unobstructed views of the New Year’s Eve fireworks.
