Tea culture may not be new in Hong Kong, but this December, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is bringing a different twist to the tradition as it introduces the Simply British Afternoon Tea. Held at the Mo Bar, the program is a collaboration between the hotel and British luxury fashion house Burberry as a celebration of the brand’s heritage. Guests can look forward to being served British tea along with an assortment of traditional British delicacies prepared specifically for the event, such as smoke salmon, roast turkey, and roast beef sandwiches, as well as a selection of cakes—from carrot cake with a fondant-glazed topping to other British sweets like chequered Battenburg cake, Victoria Sponge, and a Bakewell tart. To top of the experience, a Burberry Beauty Box will be nearby, offering interested guests a beauty consultation and an introduction to the Burberry Beauty Collection.
Afternoon tea is served from Monday to Friday at 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The program is priced at US$44, including a three-tier tea set and five pastry selections. Guests can also enjoy a glass of Ruinart Rose Champagne for an additional US$15.
