The flight will bring Hong Kong and the capital of Shandong province that much closer.
As part of the Cathay Pacific Group’s ongoing expansion across mainland China, regional subsidiary Cathay Dragon will launch a four-times-weekly service between Hong Kong and Jinan on March 26.
Known as the “City of Springs” due to its 72 natural springs, Jinan is the capital of Shandong province and the airline’s 28th Chinese destination.
Flight KA960 will depart Hong Kong every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 19:55 and arrive in Jinan three hours and 20 minutes later. The return flight, KA961, will leave Jinan at 8:15 every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The service will be operated by Cathay Dragon’s fleet of Airbus A320s, with an eight-seat business-class cabin and 156 economy seats.
Paul Loo, chief customer and commercial officer for Cathay Pacific said: “Our priority is to grow our reach to new destinations, which is why we are delighted to soon be adding Jinan to our network.”
