The speakeasy’s first permanent outlet outside of New York will feature hyper-seasonal produce and limited-edition tipples.
The nightlife in Hong Kong is certainly no shrinking violet compared to its other Asian counterparts.
In fact, its award-winning bar scene is about to become even more dazzling with the addition of the iconic PDT bar which hails from New York City.
Come 2018, the bar’s first permanent outlet outside of New York will open in The Landmark Mandarin Oriental.
PDT, which stands for “Please Don’t Tell,” looks set to stay true to its speakeasy roots with a faux phone booth entrance at the top of the staircase in the hotel’s MO Bar.
Once guests have entered the space, they’ll be immersed in a playful mix of vintage and modern design elements.
Speaking of the menu, PDT Founder Jim Meehan says, “The cocktail menu will change frequently throughout the year to take advantage of hyper-seasonal produce and limited-edition wines, beers, and spirits, along with a handful of house classics from the NYC location.”
To complement the well-crafted cocktails, Chef Ekkebus of The Landmark Mandarin Oriental is working to create menu items inspired by PDT New York’s Crif Dogs hotdog stand.
As such, guests can expect to enjoy American-style comfort food, with the highlight being a range of pork, chicken, and beef hot dogs.
