Starting February 25, Korean Air will service direct flights from Seoul Incheon to both Milan and Rome in replacement of its current service that goes from Incheon to Milan, then Rome, then back to Incheon in a more circular route. The change in schedule coincides perfectly with the Expo Milano 2015, which kicks off in May and runs through October.

The airline will operate a thrice-weekly Rome service (Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays) with a B777-300ER aircraft capable of towing 291 passengers, increasing that capacity to 363 when it swaps out the B77 for the B747-400 starting March 29. The change of aircrafts will also see a change in timetables, instead departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Meanwhile, the Milan service will initially operate three times a week (Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays) utilizing an A330-200 aircraft seating 218 passengers. Starting March 29 however, the airline will increase Milan services to four times a week, adding a Monday service and increasing passenger capacity to 248 by operating a B777-200ER. Flight times will also change, though the days remain the same.
