The Luxe List 2014: Iniala Beach House, Phang-Nga, Thailand

When Mark Weingard set out to create Iniala, his goal was for it be like nowhere else in the world. Mission accomplished. Located on the mainland 20 minutes north of Phuket’s airport, the two-hectare resort comprises just three villas and a penthouse, for which Weingard hired 11 top international designers (among them, Spain’s Jaime Hayon, Irish furniture maker Joseph Walsh, and English interior architect Graham Lamb)  to create the various elements. Nightly rates are steep, but their all-inclusiveness spares no expense: a driver, butler, and personal chef are at guests’ disposal, as are six hours of daily spa treatments. There’s also a 22-seat movie theater, a muay thai boxing ring, and a crystal-studded pool table. Better yet, Iniala contributes 15 percent of its revenues to the Inspirasia Foundation, set up by Weingard to support health and education projects in Southeast Asia.

40/14 Moo 6 Baan Natai, Khok Kloi; 66-76/451-456; Iniala; doubles from US$3,000, all-inclusive
