Travel between Muscat and Kuala Lumpur is soon to become much easier when, on June 21, Oman Air launches daily non-stop service between the two cities. Currently the carrier has six routes daily between the two cities—some of which it operates on its own, some under codeshares with Malaysia Airlines and Sri Lankan Airlines—but these all come with one or two stops along the way. The new direct service will depart from Muscat at 9:00 and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 20:10; return flights depart from Kuala Lumpur at 9:45 and arrive in Muscat at 12:30. The aircraft operating the flight has yet to be announced.

“With the holiday season for many countries starting in June, and the Eid holidays following in July, we anticipate very strong demand for flights to Malaysia from throughout the Middle East and Europe,” said Abdulrahman Al-Busaidy, Oman Air’s chief operating officer. “Furthermore, Malaysia’s position as a global center for trade and finance means that Oman Air’s new service will serve our business customers extremely well.”
