Beijing’s Pace gallery is hosting a full retrospective this spring of work by one of the city’s favorite sons. A graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Hong Hao made a name for himself primarily for screen collages of throwaway items collected over some two decades—from banknotes to book covers, receipts, and travel tickets. His formative work from the early 90s will also be exhibited, as will mixed media projects engaging in the artist’s interest in tai chi. The exhibition begins Mar. 16 and closes Apr. 27.

798 Art District, No.2,  Jiuxianqiao Rd., Chaoyang; 86-10/5978-9781.
