Kempinski Hotels has opened its 19th Chinese property in Yixing on the shores of the popular tourist destination, Lake Tai. Also adding to the new hotel’s accessibility is its location inside the “Golden Triangle,” an area between Shanghai, Nanjing, and Hangzhou.
The HBA-designed hotel boasts 446 rooms and suites that range from 40 to 397 square meters. The airy rooms are filled with natural light from large windows looking out to either Lake Tai, or towards the bustling cityscape. Decked in soothing, understated colors, the rooms also features a number of amenities including 42-inch LCD flat-screen TVs with USB connections, high-tech adjustable lighting systems, high-speed Internet, and bathrooms with walk-in rain showers and deep soaking tubs with landscape views.
When it comes to food and beverages, the five-star hotel offers notable outlets like Le Chai, the city’s first European wine bar; Elements All-Day Dining Restaurant, located on the 60th floor with sweeping 360 degree views of the city and the lake; and YuanYuan, which serves traditional Cantonese and Changzhou cuisine.
Also on the property is a wellness center that covers more than 1,000 square meters and includes state-of-the-art gym equipment. The spa houses 11 treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room, and a heated indoor swimming pool.
Locationwise, the hotel is in the newly developed commercial area of Dongjiu, making shopping, dining, and nightlife options quite convenient. For for guests looking to explore the area’s natural wonders, Longbeishan Mountain National Forest Park and Tuanjie Lake Park are less than 10 kilometers away, while some of Yixing’s famous bamboo forests, Shanjuan Cave, and Taojuan Cave are less than 30 kilometers away.
