Park-goers can look forward to a 4-D theater show, as well as special menu items inspired by the popular anime series.
Sailor Moon, a Japanese anime television series centered on a group of middle school girls who defend the universe with magical powers, has captivated young adults for centuries since it first aired in 1992.
For grown-up fans who can’t get enough of the popular series, Universal Studios Japan (USJ) has the perfect experience for you.
Come March 2018, the theme park will unveil a new attraction called Sailor Moon The Miracle 4-D, a 4-D theater show that recreates the world of Sailor Moon. It will feature multiple Sailor Scouts, the series’ famous transformation scenes, as well as a brand-new and exclusive storyline.
This theater show has been created as part of the park’s Universal Cool Japan project, which creates attractions based on hit anime and video game series.
In celebration of Sailor Moon’s first-ever theme park attraction, USJ will also be rolling out a special menu with items inspired by the anime such as Sailor Moon Cafe Plate, which is served with a crescent moon-like croissant; Sailor Moon Compact Cake Strawberry Rare Cheese, that’s modeled after the heroine’s Transformation Brooch; and Sailor Moon Strawberry and Lemon Soda, which is served in a special costumed cup.
Plus, visitors will also have a chance to pose for photos while wielding the weaponry of Sailors Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus at the in-park Wonder Pics photo studio.
The Sailor Moon menu will be available from January 19, 2018 onwards, which also happens to be the opening day for USJ’s Final Fantasy VR roller coaster ride.
As for the Sailor Moon attraction? It looks set to open on March 16 and run until June 24, 2018.
