The much-anticipated Sofitel So Bangkok will open on February 28. Inspired by the five elements of water, earth, fire, metal, and wood, the 238 rooms and suites were designed by French couture fashion designer Christian Lacroix and feature floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of Bangkok’s lush Lumpini Park.
The tech-friendly hotel features free wi-fi throughout the property and Mac minis in every room, plus iPads in the suites.
Dining options include Park Society, a rooftop bar and restaurant with indoor and al fresco dining; Red Oven, with live cooking stations reminiscent of traditional market-style fare; and Chocolab, aiming to satisfy even the fussiest chocolate connoisseurs. For those who enjoy a tipple, Mixo specializes in molecular cocktails, HI SO offers a relaxing escape in its rooftop cabanas, and the poolside Water Club mixes up day-time cocktails.
Centrally located, the hotel is within minutes of the Lumpini subway and Saladaeng Skytrain stations.
This is the second Sofitel So in the world, following the debut of Sofitel So Mauritius Bel Ombre in late 2010.
