Four Seasons’ High Style in Guangzhou
0

The top third of the Wilkinson Eyre-designed, 103-story IFC building, one of the world’s tallest skyscrapers, is an appropriately eminent setting for Four Seasons Guangzhou (5 Zhujiang West Road, 86/20-8883-3888; fourseasons.com; doubles from US$375) to showcase its 302 guestrooms and 42 suites. Adjacent to the Zaha Hadid-designed Guangzhou Opera House, and with views overlooking the cultural and business heart of south China’s economic engine, Four Seasons’ standard and deluxe rooms—at around 70 square meters—are the largest in Guangzhou. The hotel’s public space features accents such as onyx fantastico—a striated red stone that changes shade depending on from where it’s viewed—as well as detailed dragon and cloud motifs. A custom-designed bed ensures a restful night, while expansive marble bathrooms offer deep soaking tubs and separate walk-in showers.
