Wego.com Gives DestinAsian Readers the World

Singapore, November 4, 2011 – DestinAsian, an award-winning travel magazine, has chosen Wego.com to provide its readers with the best and most neutral travel site to research and compare hotels and flights direct from the Destinasian.com home page.

Users can now identify the best airfares — including low-cost carriers — and accommodation, clicking through to book live from multiple partner sites as part of a free service from trusted Wego.com. Wego compares live availability in a single search, including aggregated hotel reviews to ensure the information provided is unbiased.

This was important to DestinAsian in that it matched the publication’s journalistic integrity. DestinAsian was looking for a partner to present its readers with all possible options.

“We believe our readers are always on the lookout for places to visit not only in Asia but across the world, whether it is for business or leisure,” said Ronald Liem, the publisher of DestinAsian. “While reading an interesting article about a particular destination on DestinAsian.com, they might find it useful and interesting to search for the best flights and hotels in that destination too. We want to offer not only engaging content to our readers but also other services to help them in their search.”

For Wego, this partnership is also a natural fit in that the users of Wego.com and the readers of DestinAsian have a great deal in common. As Allister Barretto, affiliate manager at Wego.com explained: “A high concentration of Wego users are researching leisure travel in South East Asia, so we have the richest content and widest choice in this part of the world. If readers find a destination featured in DestinAsian interesting, they can now arrange to go themselves direct from DestinAsian.com.”

Users can click on the right side of the home page to book flights and accommodation through DestinAsian. They can then begin to plan their own personal itinerary, powered by Wego.com.

About Wego

Wego.com allows travellers to search for flights, hotels, packages, travel deals and travel research across 130+ travel websites in the time that it normally takes to search just one.  Wego searches travel websites in real-time so that the latest pricing and availability are shown. Travellers are then linked through to partner websites to book. Wego.com was founded in 2005 by former executives from Intercontinental Hotels Group, Yahoo!, Priceline and ZUJI. Investors include News Digital Media and Tiger Global. In November 2010, Wego merged with HolidayIQ, an Indian based travel content and community site.
