In mid-June, a new concept hotel is opening in Da Nang, Vietnam, and proves an embodiment of its name, A La Carte. The French phrase for “according to the menu” inspires the hotel’s concept that guests will pay a base price for their room and then choose from an assortment of add-ons, customizing their experience and compensating accordingly. The 202 rooms have kitchenettes, making them more akin to apartments than hotel rooms and befit for travelers who like to prepare their own cuisine or who plan to stay awhile. Personalized experiences are the goal here, and the menu of additions includes the likes of bathroom amenities, breakfast, iPads, toys for kids, PlayStation games, baskets of ingredients for home-cooked meals. A spa, fitness center, and Wi-Fi throughout the premises are also available. Water-wise, A La Carte is seated right on Da Nang’s Beach Boulevard with the ocean within walking distance, and it also boasts the city’s first rooftop infinity pool, next to which is the Ice Bar, serving refreshments with stunning views of the city and sea.

Booking is currently available through Hotels.com.
