Jet set celebrities of Hollywood and executives of Silicon Valley can look forward to an innovative airline service connecting these two business hubs. Surf Air, a start-up airline venture, announced its launch with the sale of “all-you-can-fly” memberships between the two locations. The airline will not offer traditional tickets, but instead a limited number of said passes starting at under US$2,000/mo.
The airline will service a limited route in California, connecting Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and the San Francisco Bay Area. Beginning June 12, passengers can enjoy free parking and private air terminals with unlimited Wi-Fi.
Six to eight seat turboprop aircrafts will fly sans flight attendants, however concierge service is offered on either end of the flight.
A mobile application will allow members to book flights in 30 seconds or less, up to three months in advance or as late as three minutes before boarding. Busy travelers can cancel flights two hours before takeoff without penalty.
Surf Air has even promised guest passes as part of the membership. Members simply book two weeks in advance for the additional patron.
