Cathay Pacific is to begin introducing Premium Economy class across its Middle East routes from October.

In addition to being wider, the Premium Economy seat has a larger table and includes a 10.6-inch TV screen with noise-cancelling headset. A power outlet with multiple adaptors enables tablet and mobile devices to be charged while on board.

Customers of Premium Economy are entitled to priority boarding and check-in at dedicated counters, as well as a 25kg bagge allowance—up from the 20kg in Economy.

All flights departing from its Hong Kong base to the region will see a gradual introduction of the enhanced seating from the following dates:

October 28—Dubai (daily)

December 3—Riyadh-Bahrain (twice weekly)

December 5—Bahrain-Riyadh (twice weekly)

January 1—Riyadh-Abu Dhabi (weekly)

January 5—Abu Dhabi-Riyadh (weekly)
