Why float across the ocean when you can fly? Flyboarding offers just that with a board equipped with boots and two jet nozzles propelling the brave rider up to 15 meters above water. Alternatively, you can also use the board to dive headlong into water. Developed in 2011 by French watercraft rider Franky Zapata, the flyboard allows riders a novel view of their tropical surrounds—as long as they can remain in the air. The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi has rolled out the activity in their idyllic Noonu Atoll Maldives location. If you tire of snorkeling, kayaking, or diving at the 52-acre island paradise try a 30-minute introductory course (US$175) before taking the leap with a 60-minute session (US$330 for up to two people in tandem). Stand-up paddleboarding is so last year.
