Hainan Airlines now flies direct between Beijing and Chicago twice a week, every Tuesday and Sunday. A Boeing 787 Dreamliner will service the route after initial operation by an Airbus A340-600. The interior of plane consists of 36 fully flat business seats and 177 economy seats. Each economy seat has a touch screen panel and a power outlet, each business seat also has a USB port. Hainan currently ranks in as the fourth largest airline in China, and was rated five-stars by Skytrax‘s airplane global survey. From September 3 to December 31, group passengers flying in the First Class cabin will receive a discount of 8,000 yuan (a lucky number in Chinese culture) or US$1,300 on their fare. The airline currently serves more than 500 domestic and international routes from Beijing, Haikou, and other major hubs on the mainland.
