Korean Air Expands Network in China

Korean Air is set to expand its network in China by launching four new services in the first half of 2015, which will see the airline flying to more cities in China than any other Korean carrier. With the new services, the airline will connect various cities in South Korea with Hefei, Nanning, Shenyang, and Guiyang, and so far, the airline has released that it will service flights to the first three with its B737-800 aircraft, while the aircraft on the Guiyang route has yet to be announced.

On March 30, the South Korea flag carrier will launch its five times−weekly Incheon−Hefei service, departing on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. On May 11, the airline will launch its Incheon−Nanning service, departing three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The Jeju−Guiyang service will launch on the same day, also departing three times a week on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays. The last flight to take to the skies, on June 22, is the airline’s thrice-weekly Daegu−Shenyang service, which will depart on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Flight schedules that have been released are as follows:

  • Departure from Incheon at 8:30 a.m., arriving in Heifei at 10:10 a.m.
    Departure from Heifei at 11:10 a.m., arriving in Incheon at 2:40 p.m.
  • Departure from Incheon at 6:55 p.m., arriving in Nanning at 10:50 p.m.
  • Departure from Jeju at 9:55 p.m., arriving in Guiyang at 0:45 a.m (next day).
  • Departure from Daegu at 10:00 a.m., arriving in Shenyang at 11:10 a.m.
