Starting September 9, Singapore Airlines will progressively increase its service between Singapore and London’s Heathrow Airport to four flights per day. While the number of flights will initially increase to 25 per week, this number will rise to 28 as of the week beginning October 21. Three of the services on the route will employ the Airbus A380 super-jumbo, while the fourth flight will be operated on the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

In 2008 the airline made London its first European destination to receive the A380. Six months later it used another A380 on the route.

The 2012 Summer Olympic Games will take place in London from July 27 to August 12.
