In line with the 50th anniversary of the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, The Krug Room has undergone an interior redesign. The intimate, 12-seat restaurant has now adopted curved walls and antique, gilded lighting akin to the interior of a train carriage. The exclusivity of the small space is maintained with the remodel, along with the extraordinary view of Michelin-starred Chef Uwe Opocensky’s bustling kitchen.

Until October 2013 and onwards upon request, guests can enjoy a selection of re-imagined dishes from the 1960s, the original launch period of the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. Chef Uwe draws on daily inspiration for his dishes as the restaurant has no formal menu. Dinners range from 10 to 14 courses accompanied by the largest collection of Krug Champagne outside of France.

Hidden within the Mandarin Oriental behind an inconspicuous doorway in the hotel’s kitchen, The Krug Room is an elusive dining experience worth seeking out.
